MISD students in Pre-K and Kindergarten are learning about community helpers this week. Students had the opportunity to learn about safety, job duties, and responsibilities of local Police Department and Fire Department members!
We are grateful to have the wonderful support of numerous community entities who contribute to our students' educational endeavors!
School Calendar Amendment
Due to UIL District Representatives voting on a district academic meet for Friday, December 15, 2023, an amendment has been made to the MISD calendar. This update has been made in order to allow all students to participate in the district academic meet.

The popcorn for the elementary school sale is ready to be picked-up. Parents can stop by Marfa Elementary beginning at 3:00 on Thursday, October 26, 2023, to pick-up their child's popcorn orders.

Due to a district tie-breaker in volleyball and TSI boot camp for our students at Sul Ross State University, the pep rally has been moved to today, October 25, 2023, at the Marfa Shorthorn Gym 2:30.

Important reminder to parents / guardians :
When checking out or picking up your child during regular school hours (including lunch time), you must physically enter the building to sign them out through our online system.
Phone calls are not a permitted, nor reliable, form of documentation.
Help us protect your child by adhering to these guidelines.
Guardians MUST physically be present to check-out a student from school or the child may be considered truant.
